What is FOXO4-DRI?
FOXO4-DRI is a synthetic research peptide. The “DRI” stands for D-retro-inverso: it is built from D-amino acids arranged in reverse order, a design strategy often used to make peptides more resistant to breakdown by enzymes. It was designed to interfere with the interaction between two cellular proteins, FOXO4 and p53. The name is frequently mistyped as “fox04 dri,” with a zero, but it refers to the same compound, and the FOXO4-DRI dosage chart on this page covers both spellings.
Research interest in FOXO4-DRI comes largely from a 2017 study that examined senescent cells in mice. That is laboratory and animal research, and it is described here only as context. This site makes no claims about any effect in people. Related longevity research compounds, including Epithalon, appear in the peptide library.
How much BAC water for a FOXO4-DRI vial?
FOXO4-DRI is usually sold in 5 mg and 10 mg vials. The water volume sets the concentration and has no effect on the milligrams inside. More water spreads the peptide over more syringe units, so each unit holds fewer micrograms.
The two vial sizes relate in a simple way. A 10 mg vial holds twice the peptide of a 5 mg vial, so at the same water volume each unit carries twice as many micrograms, and doubling the water in the larger vial matches the smaller vial at the original volume. If your own numbers break that pattern, an input is probably wrong.
| BAC water | 5 mg vial | 10 mg vial |
|---|---|---|
| 1 mL | 50 mcg/unit 5 mg/mL | 100 mcg/unit 10 mg/mL |
| 2 mL | 25 mcg/unit 2.5 mg/mL | 50 mcg/unit 5 mg/mL |
| 3 mL | 16.67 mcg/unit 1.667 mg/mL | 33.33 mcg/unit 3.333 mg/mL |
| 5 mL | 10 mcg/unit 1 mg/mL | 20 mcg/unit 2 mg/mL |
Each cell shows mcg per unit on a U-100 syringe (100 units = 1 mL) and the resulting concentration.
The volumes above are examples, not recommendations. For the reasoning behind each column, see the BAC water to peptide ratio guide.
Worked example: FOXO4-DRI reconstitution math
The calculator uses three steps. Vial mg divided by water mL gives concentration. The amount you enter divided by that concentration gives mL. mL multiplied by 100 gives units on a U-100 syringe, where 100 units = 1 mL. For example, if the amount you already have is the figure in this sentence and the vial is 5 mg:
The math: 5 mg ÷ 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL (2,500 mcg/mL), which is 25 mcg per unit. 500 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/mL = 0.2 mL = 20 units on a U-100 syringe.
The amount is arbitrary and was picked for round numbers only. Check whether your own figure is in mg or mcg before entering it, since 1 mg = 1,000 mcg. The U-100 syringe units to mL chart helps if you are reading a smaller-capacity syringe.
FOXO4-DRI dosage chart: what the numbers mean
A “FOXO4-DRI dosage chart” or “FOXO4-DRI dosage calculator” sounds like it should say how much to use. This one does not. The chart lists micrograms per syringe unit for each vial and water combination, and the calculator converts an amount you already have into a volume and a syringe mark. Neither chooses an amount, a schedule, or a route, and neither can judge whether any use is appropriate. The published research on FOXO4-DRI is preclinical, and there is no approved product with official dosing.
The chart and calculator are useful for catching errors. If the calculator and the chart disagree for the same vial and water volume, one of the inputs is wrong. If a result needs more liquid than the vial holds, check the units. The peptide calculator math check shows how to verify a result by hand.
FOXO4-DRI reconstitution notes from suppliers
FOXO4-DRI is a much longer peptide than short sequences like Epithalon, and supplier listings vary in how they describe its solubility. Most specify bacteriostatic or sterile water, and some note that the powder may take time to dissolve or should be swirled gently rather than shaken. Where a label or supplier sheet names a diluent, volume, or storage condition, that instruction takes priority over any general page.
Handling and sterility should follow the product labeling and a qualified professional. For the difference between the two most common diluents, see bacteriostatic water vs sterile water.
Regulatory status of FOXO4-DRI
FOXO4-DRI is not an FDA-approved drug, and vials sold online are labeled for research use. A research label does not establish identity, purity, sterility, or suitability for use in people, and an accurate calculation cannot establish them either.
Because FOXO4-DRI is a long synthetic peptide, the quality of the synthesis matters, and a label alone cannot confirm the sequence or purity.
FOXO4-DRI FAQ
Is fox04 dri the same as FOXO4-DRI?
Yes. Fox04 with a zero is a common misspelling. The compound is FOXO4-DRI, named after the FOXO4 protein.
What does DRI mean in FOXO4-DRI?
D-retro-inverso. The peptide is built from D-amino acids in reversed order, a design often used to make peptides more resistant to enzymes.
Does the FOXO4-DRI dosage chart recommend an amount?
No. It shows mcg per syringe unit for different vial and water combinations. It does not recommend an amount, schedule, or use.
How much BAC water goes in a FOXO4-DRI 10 mg vial?
There is no single correct volume. The chart shows how each volume changes mcg per unit. If the product label names a diluent or volume, follow the label.
Is FOXO4-DRI FDA-approved?
No. It is not an FDA-approved drug, and the published research on it is preclinical.
